Examkrackers E-book
The Problem
Examkrackers is a well-respected MCAT test prep company. In the past, they offered only physical textbooks for each MCAT subject. It was time for them to move into the 21st century and create online material that surpassed the competitors’. Their goal was to create an all-encompassing software product, including an e-book full of interactive features.

The Process
I was tasked with creating and modifying the artwork that went in the e-book, including: scientific illustrations, diagrams, graphs, motion graphics, and character animations. First, I created a harmonious color palette that allowed the book graphics and online branding to mesh. My team and I learned to optimize our files in order to export professional-quality, yet low file size SVGs. The graphics needed to be simple, readable, and clear, yet visually striking. We also had tight branding restrictions, such as using only one font (Arial). I also sat in meetings with the UX/UI team to ensure high-quality graphic standards.

The Solution
My team created an e-book packed with informative graphics, yet it has a simple and user-friendly appearance. I introduced the idea of creating color-coded banners for each book, appearing at the beginning of each chapter, as well as lines separating each section, which adds visual interest. Below is a sample page of graphics I was responsible for creating.
